Barent Jacobsen Kool - Corrections needed for birth place according to Baptism record

Barent was not born in New York. His baptism record states Nieuwe Kerk as his birth place. His baptism was on May 18, 1610.

Baptism many times wete performed at a much later date.

What does that mean? Later date than what? Than the date that's listed in the record?

A later date than the birth date. Sometimes infant baptisms were immediate, sometimes not.

My mistake. I guess you post the death first on Geni. Confusing. Seems the birth would be listed first.
I have lots of sources to add to him.

Baptism in this era in Holland would be within 1 week of birth.

However, it's highly unlikely that he was born in Nieuwe Kerk given that Nieuwe Kerk is a very large/important church in Amsterdam.

It's probable he was born somewhere in Amsterdam in the second week of May 1610.
