Emily Virginia Talbott it looks like maybe you were the last one to touch them? Was it by chance what said above?
If so, we can probably go through the revision history and set them back to what they were before they were updated.
Thanks
John
It's from unresolved data conflicts after a merge, i think. Scary! But solved by resolving the d/c's.
Mike Stangel this is an example of a (bug?) mentioned previously in a different context (what shows in newsfeed).
Well that explains what happened then
Emily Virginia Talbott, Geni is a shared tree. If you personally do not have info to verify something or you have something that contradicts something on the tree you may want to contact the profile managers or start a discussion on the person in question.
Sometimes somebody else has documentation else where explaining something, but has not added it to the tree on Geni yet. Maybe somebody can easily provide something to make it more believable or discuss any discrepancies.
Sometimes more and more things are more accessible online now also such as many wills in just the past month that answer some questions. Someone may have added vague info to Geni in the past and now many people can go grab the will online and add it to Geni and show that so and so had a list of children, etc.
Thanks
John
Erica Howton and Faustine Darsey on partial hiatus, this case does not appear to be a bug -- I think the user deleted the names out of concern for privacy. If you have another example of what you think is the problem, I'd be happy to take a look.
I will send you an example when I see one. My guess is that there is a bug, and would love to find out what is going on. Thanks for your help Mike Stangel
