This lineage is botched. Per the somewhat authoritative book compiled by Dick D. Heller, Jr., The Sharpnack Family, (1997-Oct. 18, 1998 Mission TX),Catherine was left an orphan and was raised by her Godfather Johannes Peter Scharpenacken in Philadelphia.
She was baptised as an adult May 03, 1750 by Alexander Mack, Sr., Church of the Brethren, Germantown, PA per Martin G. Brumbaugh, The German Baptist Brethren in Europe and America, (Brethren Publishing House, Morris, IL, 1899), pg 426.
Her immigration was September 27, 1740 on the ship Lydia to Philadelphia, age 10
Her true parents were Peter Scharpenacken, born October 17, 1691, brother of Catherine's godfather Johannes Peter Scharpnacken. Catherine's mother was Peter's wife Anna Elizabeth Meding.
The fourth child and older son of Johannes Peter Sharpnack II and his wife, Elizabeth Weyberg Sharpnack was Henry Sharpnack. He and his adopted sister Catherine accompanied their parents to the New World in 1740. They arrived in
Philadelphia, and all of them remained in the Germantown Township, Philadelphia County, the rest of their lives, except for those who went to New Orleans and Natchez.
While Catherine was actually a cousin of "Philadelphia" Henry Sharpnack, they were raised as brother and sister, and called each other brother and sister.
