Josephine F. Rudy (Barnes) - Obituary

EAST HANOVER TWP. Josephine F. Rudy, 84, of Dauphin County, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at her home. Born October 11, 1927 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Bachman) Barnes. Retired from the H. B. Reese Candy Company, she was a graduate of Palmyra High School and was associated with Susquehanna Service Dogs. She was the widow of Robert E. Rudy and was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Ritter. Surviving are her siblings, Donald Barnes of Lebanon, Dennis husband of Christine Barnes of Campbelltown and Janet wife of Freeman "Pete" Ford of Cleona; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving canine companion, Matilda. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant St., Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susquehanna Service Dogs, 555 Lesentier Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17112 or to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
