I emailed Glen about his sources for this burial information and he said it came from his aunt who was a Weaver and that
she has had this information for years.
I would like to add this find a grave profile to Peter's profile but it would be nice to have another source to confirm?
Cheers,
Bill
Peter Weaver was my my mother's Great grandfather. Peter Weaver a loyalist came to Canada abt 1785. He was captured by the Patriot.s and spent 3 years as a prisoner of War. 1775. My mother had signed a pledge many years ago, stating to this effect.I am one of the last descendants living in the area, where Peter Weaver settled.I have Loyalist Family members on both sides of my Family father and mother, and have been trying to update the Canadian Families, who are part of my blood line.Weaver. Hi Glen, Please don't misunderstand me, I believe you I just want to find additional sources. It seems like the Aultsville cemetery records no longer exist? and if the stones were transferred to Williamsburg Union circa 1958 then there should be some sort of record?
Peter is my 5th great grandfather so it's a bit further out than you. We have no records left in our family so thank you for sharing what you have.
My greatgrandmother was a Colquhoun and they didn't settle until after 1812 but through them I have Weaver, Marcellus, Ulman, Serviss, Warren, Warring, Schaver, Stata and Weegar ancestors. Other than Colquhouns and Serviss records I had to research all of the other lines.
Would you be willing to post your mothers affidavit? That would be a great document to have for posterity.
Were the Aultsville burial records in a family bible?
Kindest regards,
Bill
