Randy Schoenberg,

I need to create a project for the Kielce Pogrom from 1946.

Should we attach it to the Holocaust projects?

Kevin

No

Randy - as you well know, the term Holocaust, was created and by some people, supposed to be used ONLY for the events created against the Jews in Europe by the Nazi's under Hitler's regime. Even though the Kielce Pogrom is in the time and physical "vicinity" of the world of the Nazis, it was after WWII was over - in another county - under a completely different government.

I strongly urge you NOT to include this project in or with any of the Holocaust projects.

I have another idea.

Let's create a master project for Pogroms and only link it to the Holocaust: "The Final Solution" Project.

There were pogroms against Jews well before the Holocaust.

It would be better to create an umbrella project where we can go back to the early days of pogroms.

Kevin Lawrence Hanit, Pam Karp has a Pogrom Project already in existence,
ie.http://www.geni.com/projects/Jewish-Pogroms/24693
which would make an excellent Pogrom Umbrella Project.

Malka Mysels,

Your link doesn't work, so here it is again: http://www.geni.com/projects/Jewish-Pogroms/24693

Pam Karp,

Thanks for the project. I'm now going to create a project for the July 4, 1946 Kielce Pogrom.
