I am looking for information on these two women. They resided in Boston in the mid to late 1700s, and both died young. Jane married William Andrews in 1769, and died in 1776, shortly after giving birth to her daughter Mindwell Andrews, later a wife of Simon Hastings. Then in 1779, William married Christian Hays, who I am presuming to be a sister or relative of the deceased Jane.
I have no information on their ancestry or previous residency before their marriage into the Andrews family. I am assuming that they must have come from somewhere else. I have found no connection to the only other "Hays" of Boston around that time, the family of the famous Michael Moses Hays. The religious difference alone makes it unlikely.
Any information or even educated guesses would be greatly appreciated.
