I googled and found a typed Marriage Certificate that was apparently prepared by Dwayne A. Montz of Dayton, OH in April 1986. The Marriage Certificate was for Antoine Mans (Montz) and Seville Bichof, 24 November 1772. This document indicates Antoine's parents were Joseph Mans and Anne Marie Lauverine of Strasbourg. However, the Geni family tree indicates Joseph Mans was marries to Anna Marie Montz-Achtziger (Laub). I'm wondering if Antoine's mother's real last name was Lauverine, not Laub? Also wondering why Geni family tree does not properly spell Joseph Montz's last name as "Mans". I was told that Antoine changed the spelling from "Mans" to "Montz" when he came to Louisiana. I've also seen Montz spelled "Mons" on various internet sources.
