I have obtained my information about our family history from a family bible in the hands of his grandson Dr. Alexander Melville. My understanding was that only one child survived birth, That was Alexander born 7 May 1722. Seven children were born - Jean, David, Elizabeth, Alexander, Margaret, John and James. I see no mention of Anna and wonder if she is from another branch.
I am new to working on Geni and not familiar with adding people so trying to be accurate in a new system. However, the children's names are familiar throughout the English language and could belong to later generations.
I would appreciate some assistance with regard to sorting out the children or was my original information inaccurate.
