Hello everyone,

this is my first post here so please be gentle ;-)

I'm looking for descendants of the couple of Friderich Ferdinand von Krogh and Rosina Elisabeth von Frankenburg und Proschlitz, which were also the parents of the famous General Gerhard Christoph von Krogh (Gerhard Christopher von Krogh, Dansk Overgeneral), who have taken an autosomal DNA test.

Reason for this request is that we've identified several segments amongst several individuals that on paper lead to this family. We would like to find other genealogists descending from this line to verify how we're all related to this couple (as a paper trail is only worth the ink, only DNA proven by triangulation verifies or falsifies what is written in official documents).

You can either contact me directly via PM or via reply to this post. Your cooperation is highly appreciated. Please do note that one of our cousins is a direct male descendant of this line and another one had an ancestor serving/working in the General's family. A non paternal event is highly likely for the second cousin.

Thanks in advance,

Andreas

Hi,
Friderich Ferdinand von Krogh and Rosina Elisabeth von Frankenburg und Proschlitz are my third great grandparents, and together with my sister and two of my first cousins autosomal tests are present at FTDNA.

My DNA-projects focus on Y-DNA, and I'd be very happy to find more male descendants that are willing to be tested.

Anyway, my second great grandfather authored a first genealogy of the von Krogh family, my great-grandfather was co-author of the first official von Krogh genealogy, and my grandfather carried on with the genealogy work. At present I'm the active genealogist in my branch, and fairly up to date on the family history.

I'f you add your own genealogy to geni.com it would be appreciated, as I have no idea of who the "We" you refer to are, and how they are related to the von Krogh family.

Kind regards,
Håkon Styri
