My Gibianski family also came from Sejny. Moshe Gibianski married Pescha Ettenson from Vilkaviskis. Other Gibianski family married Gombiners. One branch went to Israel, several came to the United States and we believe the rest died in the Shoah.

Some of the "surnames" are actually patronymics I assume -

Zelikowna = daughter of Zelik.

Sejnenski is likely "from Sejny". It's a beautiful town. I visited it in 2012. A very important center of Jewish learning. My gg aunt was born there.

I have photographs if you are interested. Perhaps on this project. I can't remember.

Cheryl - there was a Rachel Kahn that married one of my Meretsky great uncles. We have always understood that although she was from Bay City Michigan they (or the families) knew each other back in the old country. I know that Kahn isn't one of the names on your list but thought I would through that out to you.

My name is Cheryl. I’m from the USA. I found out my family Surname originally was Sejnenski. My Great Grandfather Rabbi Moses changed it to Kahn when he came to America. I was wondering if you know anything about my Sejnenski Family.

Moses is my Great Grandfather.
He married Anna (Chana)
They had nine children.

I was told by a relative that there may have been triplets.
