I am interested in this family. There are some early records and some in the Carr branch from the family of Rev. Edwin Curley. If I am not mistaken there is also a village area named Litchfield. I have found a Jon or John Litchfield who married a Dorsey and in the Carr history of Rev Curley is a Litchfield who married Catherine Howard.

Information would be of help-- thank you

There seems to be a bunch of Litchfields out around Frederick, MD. Don't know if they're related to your lot but it seems likely.

Thanks Maven, I do know that there was a Dorsey/ Litchfield marriage in Anne Arundel Co. Interesting is that Howard county was later split off from Anne Arundel Co. thus some record continue there.

I will have a look in the Frederick area.... appreciate your tip/ Philip
