Her Majesty The Queen, (Queen Elizabeth II) is my 18th cousin. I sent her a letter through "snail mail" back in 2013 to tell her that I had found the connection and to congratulate her on the birth of her great grandson, George.
I received a letter back from Buckingham Palace, which I must say surprised me!
In the letter, (which came from the Buckingham Palace Deputy Correspondents Coordinator) it said that the Queen gets a great number of letters like that and was not surprised about the connection. It said, "When researched back far enough, the number of people very distantly related to the British Royal Family (or indeed to any other family) will always be very substantial. Now I have to say, that I did not think I would even get a repose at all from the letter, but at least I know the letter got to Buckingham Palace.

Lol. 14th cousin, twice removed through my mom, 14th cousin thrice removed through my father... does anybody know how I can see how distantly related my parents are? I know for a fact they're distantly related as they both descend from King John.
