Today I added my two step-daughters to our family tree, however, under their profile they are shown as me being their father instead of step-father, and under my profile they are shown as being my daughters instead of their step-daughters. I am trying to find a way to correct this but have been unsuccessful so far. Please help!!!
Go to the relationship tab of your step daughter's profile. You'll see a drop down box at the top of the tab. Select it and you can choose another parent pair (save & close). Relationships will then show correctly.

I did as you suggested but, unfortunately, none of the other parent pairs listed fit my situation, and there was no provision for adding any other parent pair. Nonetheless, your efforts are much appreciated.
