Thanks. I looked through the schedule. What I found missing was I guess what you might call "popular genealogy". My interest in genealogy to a large part is connecting people together. I am interested in finding and actually meeting (in person, if possible) more third, forth and fifth cousins. Geni and facebook have been the main tools to allow me to do that, yet I don't really see them mentioned at all in the program. I would also like to brainstorm with others on ways to get more people involved in their own family research. This will be my first conference. Any suggestions from the veterans out there?
Charles Lebow Once you register at the conference you will receive a list of all attendees, and you might find some familiar names there.
Also, attending meetings from the country of your family's origin might be helpful.
See http://www.iajgs2015.org/schedule/index.php, and then
Search by Type: "SIG - Special Interest Group (SIG)", or Search by Topic:
Also, we would love to see you at the Geni booth anytime, plus try and make it to these special Geni events.

The conference Discussion Thread is always a good resource for additional information.
