Finding lost relatives

I just found a second cousin who happens to live just down the street from me. I really don't know that many of my Loubris side , as thety often moved away and didn't keep in touch with each other. This one is the grand daughter of my Uncle Gaston, who I did know but I never really knew his sons. Good thing I found her and we got together. Turns out I had the wrong son attached to her. Anyway as usually I have the majority of info and pictures. Although she says she has some. I lent her one picture and face booked her some more. I was so happy one of the Loubris' called me back. The Loubris group is not that good at connecting. There are Loubris' on here and I know they are related, as I know the mother of one of them, but no one will connected. Well, we will see what happens. Anyone here have the same problem.

Congrats Private User. It's always fun to find a new living relative, especially if they can shed some new light on your shared tree.

I have many distant cousins I don't know at all, but I have also found and connected with many living relatives mostly through my work on Geni.

Excellent Private User. Yes, I have had similar issues with my cousins on both sides. Some are responsive and some are not. Little by little I have found. As people age and have grandchildren, they start to remember their parents and grandparents and want to connect.

Wendi, culturally. it's , I, who's shedding light on their tree. I appear to be the one with most of the info on all sides.Although on my mother's side I did have a couple 2nd cousins who had pictures too and gave most of them to me for safe keeping. Even great uncles WW1 metals. They wanted them to go to someone who cared and so I have it all. My father's side is different. Very disconnected.The Loubris side is a tough crowd. I am the youngest of the grandchildren. So not that many left.

Well, she a baby girl. Now they have one boy and two girls.
