Hello, teammates! :) As the warmer weather approaches in this part of the world, I am wondering if anyone would like to make plans to meet this spring or summer and tackle a cemetery or two together somewhere in Southern New England or maybe the southern parts of Vermont or New Hampshire. (Sorry, Maine -- you're just not very central!) There are SO MANY historic cemeteries in New England that would be great to share with Colonial descendants in particular.

Any interest? Ideas? Let me know! I might pick a date/location and post an event invite to the Geni Users Group on Facebook so people can RSVP, just to gauge interest.

The 'data non-duplication' side of me would suggest that cemeteries be chosen that are NOT currently "well-covered" by either BillionGraves or FindAGrave. It does no service, in my view, to repeat a cemetery...

Military-managed cemeteries are often also well-documented and easily found online.

I'm going to try and make it up to Rhode Island June 5-7 and stay with my Dad for the weekend for the Global Family Reunion. Still trying to decide if I'm going to go - need to price out a flight.

If I were in your part of the world, I'd do that. Nice weather is here in NorCal, so I hope to get back out to the Santa Clara cemeteries again.

Also, I will be making some day trips to Gold Rush towns and, if time permits, I'll try to get some of those old cemeteries.

Dan Cornett: I should have stressed that my goal was to choose an area that's not already covered and then use the BillionGraves app. A divide-and-conquer strategy has worked well for teams in the past.

Private User: Let me know what you decide! :) I'm in eastern Connecticut, so Those Island is convenient for me. And thankfully, our oppressive humidity usually hasn't kicked in by then.

"Those" Island? Thanks, autocorrect!
