Lydia Gillett (Hayes) - Lydia Webster is not Lydia Gillett (Hayes) unless she had to husbands at the same time!?!?!

I undid the merge but I see why they were merged, they are supposed two sisters both named Lydia and there's a third sister named Elizabeth married to Gillett too.

It's too late for me to research this now, but we need to look into this family more to straighten it out.

The Hayes had an Elizabeth who married Joseph Gillette and a Lydia who may have died young or unmarried. The tree seems quite confused.

First, someone married Elizabeth to both Benjamin and Joseph Gillette. I detached her from Benjamin.

Second they have Lydia married to Benjamin and I don't know if this is true.

Third, they had Lydia Webster, wife of Aaron Webster, as a third Hayes daughter, but this seems to be incorrect, so I have detached her from the Hayes family.

More to do, but time to sleep now.

Okay, see the Suffield Historical Society. Two brothers, Joseph and Benjamin Gillette from Suffield, married two sisters, Elizabeth and Lydia respectively. It appears anyway.

Lydia Webster is unrelated.

The best places are Suffield Historical Society, Google Books, and any town vital records.

I think we'll find that Lydia Webster's parents are unknown. I saw one Internet forum looking for her parents and saying that they were not known.

I do not think that Elizabeth married both Joseph and Benjamin. I didn't yet check out how long each of those four lived but supposedly Benjamin and Lydia Hayes had a lot of children.

Most sites don't say who Lydia married, but I have worked with Suffield Historical Society before and it's very good on the early families.

So if you could just check for inconsistencies and any additional information or other GOOD sources for these three marriages / their offspring, that would be excellent.
