I am searching for any information on Winnie Rollins Ballard's mother who would have been my gg-gradmother. I am not sure about much about her as she died way before I was born. My aunt and Dad said that her mother died when she was real young and she lived with two maiden aunts. They were even unsure what Winnie's maiden name was. The maiden aunts were Scotts so I am going on the assumption that her mother was a Scott then married a Rollins and George Ballard next , because I once had a copy of an old letter that my aunt had kept that was to Winnie from her brother John Huston Rollins and in it he had mentioned her brothers the Ballard boys Charlie Dow and Joseph I belive. I can't remember for sure about the last one though. I don't know if they were blood relations or step siblings because jDad and my aunt seemed to thing that Winnie married a Ballard. I am looking for any information on Winnie, her mother, and John Huston Rollins. I have a picture that belonged to Winnie of John Huston Rollins and also one of a young woman they are old and faded but I think that anyone who had seen them and knew them would still recognise them.
Winnie's mother would have been born sometime around the early part of 1800 I believe maybe 1820. The family thought that Winnie was a full blooded indian and pictures of her would bear this out to be true. She was born in Alabama but I am not sure about her mother.
