WEESPERSTRAAT (Amsterdam) was an important shopping area in the period between 1930 - 1940. It differed from Amsterdam's other radial shopping areas such as Haarlemmerstraat by its typically Jewish butchers, bakers and families living above the shops, unaware of the impending catastrophe.

It would be appreciated if anyone with stories, photographs or memories of the shops or inhabitants of WEESPERSTRAAT during this time would either post in this thread or make contact with me.

Thanks

Pam

Dear Pam,

I did a fast search for you. But I don't have time to put it in the right way in Geni.
Best regards, Robert

Vuijsje was an uncle of my mother and they started after the war a famous nightshop in de Utrechtsestraat.
