Mary Earp (Budd) - Ancestry of Mary Budd Earp

I am not convinced that Mary Budd, married Joseph Earp, is a descendant of William Budd and Elizabeth Stockton.

William and Elizabeth had a daughter Mary, born in Willingboro, NJ, married to Joseph Shinn. They had nine children after their marriage, and those children are all recorded in Burlington County, NJ. This is a fairly well documented Quaker family.

Mary Budd Earp is given the birthplace of Maryland or Virginia. Mary and Joseph Earp were married in Maryland. Joseph Earp shows a christening record, which leads me to believe he was not a Quaker.

Can anyone offer any documentation to help resolve this?
