1. Some observers have @Jacob Silliker migrating from Holland or Denmark around 1744 via Philadelphia. I haven't located the passenger manifesto of that alleged ship.T
2. The evidence supporting @George Silliker as Jacob's father is flimsy primarily because of the reported birth date of George at 1733. There does seem agreement that George was born in Holland but not the detail of how he arrived in North America.
One of the great strengths of working within Geni is the power it has to match records. Since my last note at 2:50 am, Geni has proposed a number of My Heritage matches which suggest @Jacob Silliker was born in New Rochelle, NY in 1750 which sits better with @George Silliker being born in 1733.
My tactic in such cases is to post the most reasonable estimate and continue to research for a more acceptable solution.
