Mom and Eo were told their mother died on an operating table a young woman. According to this information she lived widowed thirty five years... Someone lied or this is wrong information. Anyone have any input here?

Not a lot of luck with the censuses. Cecil Honn and "Pearlie" were definitely married and had two daughters (Elizabeth, 6, and Sara Lee, 4) by 1940, and they had been living in the same house since at least 1935.
James Cecil Honn was not married in 1930, and was living with his parents.
No luck with Henry Johnson - the name is far too common.
Pearl Bach was living with her parents and described as "single" in 1930 - her age is given as 30.
Marriage record for Pearl Bach and Cecil "Houn", 21 April 1933, Clay City, KY. No further information.
JACKPOT: Marriage license, Henry Johnson and Pearl BacK (parents Tom Back and Julia Row), 9 Sept 1918, Butler Co., Ohio.
Definitely your Henry Johnson, because his parents are correct.
Looks like we have a case of mistaken identity.
Census record for Thom and Julie Back, 1910 - residence, Elliottsville, Breathitt County, KY.

Back, Julie - Wife - 32 - married 15 years - both parents born Kentucky
Back, Birthie - Daughter - 14
Back, Mertie - Daughter - 9

A John Back, age 20, was living at the same address, described as a "workman" doing "farming work" (Possibly a younger relative earning his keep?)
Thank you! My mother's mother Pearl B. deserted two babies and never entered their life again. Mom never got over it, I don't know how one would. I've had so little information to go on so I was very confused when I found a name and grave thought to be hers; to think that Pearl had been hiding somewhere and actually lived a long life. Thank you so much for clearing up the confusion that had me wound up! I'm relieved but still have an interest in finding her death date and any other information.
