Also, I'm trying to determine if his parents were married and, if so, did they remain married.

At Findagrave I found some information about the family, I believe it was quite famous in their area of interests. They were, I believe, American Jewish, therefore someone more experienced could take it from here?

In this path I'm not sure why did the children of Robert and Eliza Gooch (nee Cunningham) beared the surname Wright. Maybe we can find out about that. Perhaps it's the matter of African American surnames' issue being 'flexible' decades ago?

(there is at least one tree that gives her a maiden name of Wright).

She was born 1830 or so. It is possible she and George Cunningham were not able to be legally married until later, and that would be consistent with the names given to the children based on birth order.

Or -- she had previously been married to an ?? Wright.

It was difficult at first, with popular surnames like Jackson, Brown, Johnson etc.
When I encountered Sobol surname though, I already thought it could be Eastern European or/and Jewish, so the path could be found. :) And the columnists of a popular newspaper is also a nice, noble profile. Some other paths could be found, I'm certain.

Can you publish an updated path from Jacobs to Ludacris after adding the Sobol connections? I mentioned to Karol to connect the Cantor tree via Naomi to Al Jolson making Ludacris a relatively close connection to the great entertainer.
