Hello, I am looking for information on my cousins and aunts. My father William Smyth was born, along with the rest of his family, in Athboy, Co. Meath. His father's name was Daniel and we think he died in 1940, but we are not even sure of his mother's name: she died when he was about three years old. We think her name was Margaret, but we don't know her maiden name. If anybody has any clues they would be very gratefully received.

Hello Orla, I came across the message you posted in 2015 and although I don't think there is a direct link there are a number of similarities with my search. I am trying to find my great grandfather William Smyth. He was born in Athboy in 1855/6 and died in Dublin in 1929. I have the names of his wifes - he had 3 and also all his children. I don't have his siblings and am not sure about his father - also from Athboy. My name is Derek O'Brien and I live in Malahide, County Dublin.
