R. Aron served as Rabbi of Prossnitz before moving to Holic where he died in 1816. His wife Rifka died in Prosnitz in June or July 1803. Their daughter Leah (b. 31 Oct 1801) was married in Prosnitz in Mar 1825.

I wonder if he was connected to the Spitzers in Prossnitz.

Seems likely that they are part of the same family because some of the descendants of Avraham haLevy SPITZ (b. Spitz 1656) used surname SPITZER. According to Magyar Zsido Okleveltar Vol. XIII taxpayers from Nagymarton and Kismarton included SPITZ Isak and SPITZER Marcus . Most of the off-spring of Izasak (c. 1683-1754), took name SPITZER.
