I have changed the name of this project to include both of English and French names of the Canadian Police Force that started out as the North-West Mounted Police.

What we need to do is to update the project to include the description in both official languages of Canada.

Kevin, you're right, this project can legitimately be titled A or B:

A. Gendarmerie royale du Canada / Royal Canadian Mounted Police

B. Royal Canadian Mounted Police / Gendarmerie royale du Canada

Both forms are equal by law.

When I created this project, I applied A, just because I had to pick one, and because of my many years working with the 'Gendarmerie'.

However, if we can document a chronological precedence for 'B', then sure, we can change the title of this project accordingly.

Let's leave it at what you have for the name of the project.

We also need to create two sub-projects:

North-West Mounted Police (1873-1904)
Dominion Police (1868-1920)
