Does anyone know the city or area in Norway this family comes from?
My father was Glen Mathiason (b 1922, d abt 1992). He came from a large family in Humboldt County Iowa. His siblings were Hannah, Charlotte, Lawrence, Pernella, Alice, Merle, Marjory, Norma, and George. Parents Carl Mathiason (b abt 1881), who made a living by tiling farmland, and Sarah Thompson. Their families came from Norway. Other ancestors: Great Uncle Ben Mathiason married to Bertha, they farmed near Thor, IA. Great Grandmother Nellie Swenson. Great Uncle Nels Mathiason. Glen's cousin Donald Mathiason.
