On topic of interest is the religious strife that grew out of a split in congregations leading up to the war: the so-called conferentie and coetus schism.
The book is well indexed and might serve as a guide for genealogists interested in northern NJ Dutch families.
Dr. Beekman van Beuren, patriot physician (and his brother James are two metioned. This is why I originally purchased the book.
I am certain that those interested in Col. Joseph Ryerson and his family would also find this book illuminating.
