Well for starters there is no village or townland called Kurns near Killarney or elswhere in Ireland. The Church record data base is acting up at the moment but I will do my best

Thanks - I did find the marriage record; he's listed as Mahoney. It's "parish of Curns" and noted as such on his tombstone (just uploaded image). Others from the same area in the Iowa tree - Or did they meet in America?
