Can we continue the discussion about the father of William Dudley, of Guilford --- David or William --- in this project please? There are various sources linked in the public discussion (link above).
What I can do is print out and excerpt the most important claims from the recent Martin E. Hollick article.
We can email Martin E. Hollick and the other person who publishes on the Dudleys (see Soc. Medieval link in discussion).
We also have some research on David Dudley to do, regardless of whether he was or was not William Dudley, of Guilford's father.
