Several Grace Stackhouses have been confused. They were all from Pennsylvania and all born in the early 1700s. This one married Thomas Broom in Philadelphia and had children in 1741 and 1743, recorded in Philadelphia.
She is not the same as the Grace Stackhouse who married Samuel Pickering, Jr. in 1747 and had a large number of children and lived in Frederick County, Virginia: Grace Pickering.
I detached Grace Stackhouse Broom from Benjamin Stackhouse and Sarah Gilbert, of Bucks County. Most sources say that their daughter, Grace, married Samuel Pickering.
There is a THIRD Grace Stackhouse, who I have not seen nor touched, that sources say is also confused with these two.
I do not know who the parents of Grace Stackhouse Broom are. If you do, please contact the curator (me) and we'll fix this.
