Nelson County Kentucky in 1766

Hello, Elizabeth Hanks is listed as being born in "Nelson County Kentucky in 1766"

This needs some clarification. Some issues:

Kentucky didn't exist until later 1792 I think.
In 1766 what is now Nelson Co. Kentucky was a part of the state of Virginia.
What is now Nelson Co. Kentucky was not really populated until about ten years later around 1776 during the war.

This is just some quick Wikipedia looking up. But clearly 'Nelson Co. Kentucky in 1766' needs some clarification.
