William was born at Gask Parish circa 1809 or Methven, Perthshire, Scotland.
Parents of William Simpson: James Simpson (1782 to 1787) = Margaret Berry (1786)

Janet was born at Thornliebank, Eastwood, Renfrewshire, Scotland. She married William at Methven, Perthshire, Scotland on Dec 9 1832.
Parents of Janet (Jessie) Young: James Young (1765) = Jean Simpson (1770)
