Here is a resource for this family. It lists Johannes as the son of Thomas, John is the son of Johannes, et al.

Pamela I'm just disconnecting quickly. Obviously Lord Thomas de la Greves, I b 1327 is some kind of time warp bad merge so he's gone off, but who do we think "Henry William" is Henry William Graves and more importantly, is this Thomas our Derbyshire tree top?

Is this the Rear Admiral one? Seems he was from Stepney?

Sharyn I'd say your chart 28 is this Thomas b 1500 (can you add citation to profile?); I don't see a father either. And do we have too many children children?

I'm having trouble finding this Thomas b 1500 in the pedigree cited by Pamela?

The traditional pedigree (for this line down to Vermont USA) looks to be

1) John de la Greves
2) Hugo de la Grevis (fl .Henry lll)
3) William de la Grevis (fl. Edward l)
4) Egridus de la Greves, wife Letitia
5) Thomas de la Greves (fl. Edward lll)
6) Johannes de la Greves (fl. Edward lll)
7) John
8) William, wife Agnes
9) John (1497-1546)
10) John of Greaves (d 1595) ....

Which doesn't this Thomas doesn't fit in there ...

So I'm seeing a time warp merge somewhere. It's a matter of rebuilding based on easier to read charts :) ?

Ok this profile was misnamed

Lord Thomas de la Greves, I

Should be Thomas De La Greves 1327 - 1377
father of Johannes de la Grevis 1400 - ?

I'm correcting now, can be reverted if disagreement

Working through Chart 228 there is a missing Gen between

8) William, wife Agnes
9) John (1497-1546)

They have (what I'll call 8A)

8A) John (c 1460-1520)

In other words, (8) William & Agnes had son John (8A), who had son John (1497-1546) (9). They also have a wife Joanna for him.

2 generations in 27 years?

I added Joanna to him for the link. Who is going to edit this?
Does anyone know where Gen047 comes in?
