The information on Pam Wilson’s website (12-27-14) has for Betsey’s death date “November 29, 1886 [1869 acc to one record] Centertown or Morrison, Warren Co., TN”
1869 doesn’t work. See 1880 census record below. Betsey was still alive at 59 yrs. old.
1886 doesn’t work – if she is the first wife - because Julia (2nd wife?) died in 1866… but Betsey was still alive in 1880.
Hmmm!
What is the answer?
Since we don’t know when Betsey died the census information will tell us where they lived until she was 59 yrs. old. I don’t have the 1890 census record yet.
[On the 1850 Census for RANDOLPH County, NC __________________ Betsy - 28 yrs. old
Her age is still 28 so her September birthday was after that year’s census was taken…
or it was a guess by a family member or neighbor. She should be 29 yrs. and almost 30.
On the 1860 Census for CANNON County, TN ¬¬ Betsy - 39 yrs. old
Her age is still 39 so her September birthday was after that year’s census was taken.
On the 1870 Census for WARREN County, TN 9th District: #164 Betsy - 48 yrs. old
Her age should 49 and almost 50 depending on what month the census was taken that year.
On the 1880 Census for WARREN County, TN Dist 1 #360 Betsey - 59 yrs. old
