I do not know what to say about any of what you wrote, except that I did not add that to my tree, and frankly, the whole thing was taken over by other folk (I hope that they are related to me, but I have no way to know). I have not really added anything for about two years. Anyway, looks like we are cousins--so Hello!
I think this is the book it refers to.....

Hope that helps some.

What do you think, Alex Moes. Does Susanna look like she needs to be detached from these parents? Perhaps Jan is her brother? But I haven't found anything on that.
I'm a bit lost as I don't see where Susanna has gone :-)
I actually have questions about daughter Lysbet, married to a Harmen Janse Knickerbacker. These could be duplicates for a Lysbet that is attached to another father - Jan Bogaert. The latter is suggested by a Wikipedia page that relies on the Alstyne genealogies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmen_Jansen_Knickerbocker. However, Alstyne AND the records also seem to refer to a Lysbeth Harmense - which would suggest that she was a daughter of our Harmen van der Bogaert. This Lysbet seems to have thousands of descendants.
Not sure if we have to try and solve that here as it takes us deeper into Albany genealogies - and I think I currently rather stay on New Amsterdam for the moment.
