Can someone please assist. I have tried numerous ways to try and merge a tree with about 11000 family members on MyHeritage site (which I was invited to join by one of the site managers) with my family site on on Geni.

You can't merge a tree from MyHeritage into Geni.

Jonathan, thank you. Can one migrate a tree from MyHeritage to Geni?

Manually you can, there's no tools for it. I can't comment on anything Geni/MH is currently building. I can't imagine them not discussing it in meetings.

We have a user developed tool here

http://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783

Technical requirements:
- data subscription from MyHeritage (I believe this is available monthly), which I believe requires a Geni PRO subscription 1st (annual)
- Chrome browser (it's an add on extension)

It's a copy utility. Basically a macro that parses a web page and copies those fields into a Geni profile. So it works with the collections where the parsing has been worked out. That includes the free FindAGrave site.

One use of SmartCopy could be uploading a GED file to MyHeritage and then "copy it across" to Geni.

Erica, thank you, I need to upgrade to Geni Pro , which I will do. Can I contact you for technical support. How does the process of getting permission from the MyHeritage administrator work?
Kind regards
Johan

Geni Customer Support can help you with that to make it easy.
