Could Agnes De Audley have died in Newport, in South east Wales?

Agnes de Weston was born 1255 in Audley Staffordshire England and she died Oct 1296 in Newport Newport Rhode Island United States

? 1296 united states???

I'm guessing that she died in Newport, Shropshire. Here's why:

- the branch of the Alditheley/Audley family to which Agnes belongs resided in Staffordshire, which is immediately east of Shropshire

- Agnes' 1st husband [6000000003275349130] was styled "of Stokesay Castle" (in Shropshire)

- Agnes' 2nd husband [6000000007151874980] was styled "of Weston" (in Shropshire) and "of Newton" (now Craven Arms, also in Shropshire)

- Newport in Shropshire contains an avenue named Audley Avenue

*sigh* Let me try the profile tags again:

Agnes' 1st husband: Sir Laurence de Ludlow, of Stokesay

Agnes' 2nd husband: Sir Hugh de Weston, of Weston & of Newton
