I became a member thru the line of Kellogg, Preston, Hamilton, to the de Clares, I worked on this for twelve years and then after sending off the info, waited two years to know that it was approved. I was very happy to find this line.

To answer your question, Ulf, there are various HISTORICAL Society groups, One CAN apply for membership to, when One Can or ove/Verify they are descendants of said group of interest. THIS is One of them. Example of others would be THE Mayflower Society, Daughters/Sons of the American Revolution etc.

Because I proved ancestry thru Robert Bruce and William Marshall, that makes me eligible to be in the Plantagenet Society, and that proves an ancestor, King of Jerusalem Fulk V . In 1127, Geoffey Plantagenet was the first of the English Kings that bear his name. He was of the House of Angevin Kings which had been prominent for three centuries.
