His son William Roger was born in Scotland

and
Gervais Roger was born in France

Is it possible that Gervais was son of William and Margaret?

Yes it is confusing because if you look at Gervais Roger wife Marie-Marion Aubert b. c 1560
Marion Aubert

It shows she is daughter of Jacques Aubert b. c1539 Jacques Aubert

But according to this source http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bobwolfe/gen/person/p9812.htm he was b. c 1637

There is definitely confusion here

I'll try to take a look later today.

I'm fine with cutting Gervais from William Roger. The primary sites that I consider reliable for French / Canadian ancestry do not list parents for Gervais.

Can someone please explain why this was reported, I am working with Martin on this.,

I've actually done that myself as the delete is right next to report. :)

Angus - the curator note on William says "Not the father of Gervais Roger". Do we know that he's not the father? As far as I know, he could be, but we don't have anything to support that connection, so the father appears to be Unknown. So, may want to update the curator note to avoid confusion.
