Keith Dale Powell, during a merge with profiles of Private User there was a conflict on James's parents. She had William Ashley & Armildia Bozarth and you had Robert Ashley & Loraine Ashley. I've reviewed the material and believe Bobbie is correct, but wanted to post the sources here as an FYI so they can be attached to the profile and avoid future confusion.

Both list his parents as William and Armilida and several Census records of James indicate his parents were born in KY. Keith's connection appears to be this 1870 Census, but it's unclear if that is the same James: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M6HX-2WK
The parents listed are from England and OH. I didn't see the 1870 Census for William and Armilida that would verify a different James, but given the other documentation above, it seems to be that they're different people.
