Was he a painter at all?

His wife's burial is recorded as ""The wife Rapareilliet, miller" was buried 23 Feb. 1606."

Which makes Jean a miller not an artist.

What does "His reference number is 406." mean?

He may have been a painter too, but not a famous one, as reported by some. I have searched for any reference to this man in the painting world. I haven't found a single mention of his name.
I feel that his occupation should not be listed as "painter".

I think that the idea Joris' father was an artist is part of the fake pedigree, if memory serves me in that document Joris' father is a famous artist named Abraham Rapalje... who i imagine is a fictional creation of the forgers imagining.

I agree painter should be removed from Occupation field, even if he "splashed a canvas" occasionally as a hobby (even that i find had to believe).

This is a FRAUD occupation. We start over from scratch with what we know ...

Sounds like a miller to me.

I notice "famous painter" still appears in his About, there is a comment that it is unlikely but it's really not clear.

I think we should disconnect from the fake pedigree with MP place holders for parents cross referencing the fake profiles for those interested in the fake pedigree

Agreed if you can do. I am slammed busy for a few days.

I'm out on the road and would help with this but will not be having much keyboard time in the next week.

No worries, i am trying to get Odin's Kin to a point where I can walk away by mid-next week when my screen time will become severely limited. Once that's done i will familiarise myself and write something up when time permits.
