Hi,

It is a sad thing that nobody has responded to you, hopefully i'm not too late.

The easiest way to upload the photographs is to go:
(Menu) -> Family -> Photos and you can add photos there (also can arrange them in albums and stuff)
Right now the interface to work with photos is a bit counterintuitive in places, and it's a bit unclear who has control of what and who can see what, but the upload itself is not that difficult.

After you upload photos it is necessary to mark who is who in that photo. Go on that photo's page by clicking on it and you will have two options to do that:
1. You can just list the people via the first field under the photo itself, it is titled something like "on this photo"
2. And this is a better approach is to mark where each person is on that photo. There is a button over the photo that is called "Mark this person" (or something similar, i don't use english language interface, and don't want to switch).

After you mark a specific person the photo will appear in the media tab of that person. Also one of the photos can be made a main photo of that profile.

You should note that as a free user you're limited to something like 1 GiB of photo uploads, but it'll be a while until you hid that limit.
