David Kaufman - David Kaufman was my grandfather

Hello Debra,
Not sure what you can see on the tree, but Max and I have 2 different Tillie's listed as the spouse of David Kaufman - which makes me wonder if I have the correct Tillie (which is how I connect to the tree) Perhaps you can clarify. If my info is incorrect I will go about braking off my tree.

I have found more documentation that confirms that the David and Tillie that are Debra's relations and the David and Tillie that are connected to my family are NOT the same. A third party merged the profiles. I have attempted to separate the trees, but I may not have done it correctly, so Kevin, if you can have a look, please do.

This is the profile for Tillie Kaufman (Leipsitz)...my connection...
but both Max and I are listed as managers for "David Kaufman", except they are really 2 different 'David Kaufmans". So we need to split that management and create 2 different "david Kaufman" again.

This is the profile for Debra's Tillie Kaufman (Finkelstein), who currently has no husband listed...due to my break I presume

Oh bummer - I was hoping I had found some long-lost relatives, but no, my David Kaufman, born in Romania in 1883, and his wife Tillie nee Finkelstein, born in Russia, appear to be different ones. A pity. Was your David Kaufman also born in Romania then? The family story is that Kaufman is not the real last name, but I am having trouble finding any info about David's parents/history....Thanks, Debra

Well, not a complete loss...the other profile by "Max" is the correct David Kaufman that you are seeking, so keep on him for details. Unfortunately the 2 profiles had been merged and I may have mucked things up trying to disconnect them, but Kevin is working to clean up the mistakes.

Kevin...to be clear, Debra and Max are connected and the Tillie in their line is FINLKELSTEIN.
The Tillie in my line is LEIPSITZ...no connection to the other tree...just that they both married men named David Kaufman...just NOT THE SAME ONE

I finally got time to look at this and have made the changes on my local database and on geni with Debra's comments re our shared David married to Tillie Finkelstein.

Thanks, Max. I am still getting the hang of how to make this site work. I can't seem to get my mother to stop being my stepmother. Oh well, I'll learn.
