Does anyone have documentable "proof" that Amos was married to Sarah??? I have found several sites that indicate that this may not be true. If no "proof" then we need to disconnect her from his profile. Also there is doubt about his having a son by the name of Jonathan. This is the info that comes from his FAG site that brings this question up: [ http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17279639 ]
"Various errors appear in published works regarding Amos.
• In John A. Vinton's 1876 "Richardson Memorial" Vinton errors in giving Amos an unidentified first wife Sarah, who Vinton claimed was the mother of Amos' three eldest children.
• Anna Chesebrough Wildey's 1903 pub. "Genealogy of the Descendants of William Chesebrough, Founder of Stonington, Ct." compounded Vinton's error by also giving Amos a first wife Sarah, then expanded the claim to four children by adding a non-existent son Jonathan.
••This non-existent Jonathan was Amos' grandson, the eldest son of Amos' son Stephen, the result of Wildey's misunderstanding of Stephen's estate record, including that of his surviving wife Lydia (Gilbert)(Richardson) Chapman.
• In Rozell L. Richardson's 1906 "Amos Richardson of Boston and Stonington" the opening paragraph contains a corruption of a historically significant deed by mistating the date of the deed as well as reversing who sold to who."
All of the sites I have found with info about him list only Mary Smith Richardson as his wife.

••This one also raises the questions about Sarah & Jonathan
Any help in clearing up this confusion would be appreciated as he is my 8th ggf.
