Based on references in Oremrod, vol III regarding the marriage of daughter isabel to Thomas Daniers, Sir William is referred to as William Baggiley. While we know that there are many derivatives of the Baguley name, it is important in this medievalto remember that there were no last names, persons were "of a place" so that place is important to history. I recommend that we change this person name around to read Sir William de Baggiley (Baguley), using the name recorded in historical sources first, and the subsequent family name in parenthesis, after all, we still don't know with whom the use of the name Baguley really began.

I think it's a good idea David. The oldest references I keep reading seem to be when a Massey descendant took on the name Baggiley to differentiate himself from other Massey families. I'm not sure where Baguley came into play either.
