The biography for Samuel Jordan mentions him being on the Sea Venture, the ship that wrecked at Bermuda on its way to Virginia in 1609. It appears this is a confusion between Samuel Jordan and Silvester Jourdaine, the author of "The Discovery of Barmudas," an account of the incident. Sylvester Jourdain was a member of the Virginia Company and returned to England with Gates in 1610 to publish his account.

I'm wondering if there is any proof he arrived in 1609 on the Sea Venture rather than in 1610 on the Swan, which was the ship his future wife Cicely arrived on.

Here is an excellent summary of the current research on Samuel Jordan. It confirms as a I suspected that there is no evidence he was on the Sea Journey

This points out that the only reference to his year of origin was a reference in 1620 to him having been in the colony 10 years, and his wife having been there 9 years. This could mean he came on the Swan in 1610 and she came on a later vessel.
