A quick Google search on "Battle of Moore's Creek" gave me the following sources:
1. Wikepedia [https://www.google.com/search?q=Battle+of+Moore%27s+Creek&oq=Ba...]. This gives you the basic information on the battle. The right-hand sidebar is most useful -giving stats, etc. Like all Wiki entries, check for sources and watch out if the Wiki staff has added lots of red ink.
2. history.com [http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battle-of-moores-...], website sponsored by History Channel on TV.
3. National Park Service [http://www.nps.gov/mocr/index.htm]
4. North Carolina History project [http://northcarolinahistory.org/encyclopedia/713/entry] check sources and links at end
5. NCPedia [http://ncpedia.org/history/usrevolution/moores-creek-bridge] The hyper-linked names should be part of the project. Links go to their biographies.
6. allthingsliberty [http://allthingsliberty.com/2014/01/battle-moores-creek-bridge/] a blog that makes history very readable and interesting.
7. carolana [http://www.carolana.com/NC/Revolution/revolution_battle_of_moores_c...] lots of names to research and add to project. Wondering how many are already on Geni?
This should help with building a factual project page and give ideas for finding profiles that belong in this project. Good luck with it, friends. My own research regularly has me working on NC families and when I do, I'll keep this project in mind.
