Viuu (Murd) Ratas married Hindrik Ratas. One of their children was Wilhemine Ratas. Wilhelmine Ratas was forced to leave Estonia for Germany. She met an American man serving in the American Army in Germany in WWII. Wilhelmine immigrated to the United States in 1948, changed her name to Wilma, and married that man. Wilma Ratas and that man, Everett Gay, are my paternal grandparents. They had three children. Wilma died in 1998, leaving VERY little information about her Estonian family and pre-American life. I really want to learn more.
